Tokenization as Technocracy to maintain oligarchs-Plutocracy
One has been steeped in Technology, but manipulation is corporate-Sleaze, propaganda, and everythinGy-Bop: else, which must be ”is communism” that is bad, altho never reported upon because control if fascism penchant. Control for dis-Information and mis-Information is yet fascism and corporate-Sleaze. Technocrats have a penchant for Plutocracy, but Oligarchs, for power. I wonder, because both are either-Nor, in part of the see-Nohing morass of contributing to the state and always sublimate how much they can subtract, destroy and that causes injuries to the planet-eRathe’s, once-Waz, good health plan, Ecology. Today, Ecosocialism is that immediate and long-Term, plan. “R”
Guatemala – The CIA overthrows the democratically elected Jacob Arbenz in a military coup. Arbenz has threatened to nationalize the Rockefeller-owned United Fruit Company, in which CIA Director Allen Dulles also owns stock. Arbenz is replaced with a series of right-wing dictators whose bloodthirsty policies will kill over 100,000 Guatemalans in the next 40 years.
Haiti – The U.S. military helps “Papa Doc” Duvalier become dictator of Haiti. He creates his own private police force, the “Tonton Macoutes,” who terrorize the population with machetes. They will kill over 100,000 during the Duvalier family reign. The U.S. does not protest their dismal human rights record.
The Bay of Pigs – The CIA sends 1,500 Cuban exiles to invade Castro’s Cuba. But “Operation Mongoose” fails, due to poor planning, security and backing. The planners had imagined that the invasion will spark a popular uprising against Castro — which never happens. A promised American air strike also never occurs. This is the CIA’s first public setback, causing President Kennedy to fire CIA Director Allen Dulles.
[“Before January 1959, Cuba’s economy was dominated by US interests, which owned 40% of the sugar production, including seven of the ten largest estates, 90% of the telephone and electricity utilities, the oil refineries, most of the mining industry, and some of the banks.” –Oxfam America, Cuba: Going Against the Grain]
[“In February 1955, Vice President Richard Nixon traveled to Havana to embrace Batista at the despot’s lavish private palace, praise ‘the competence and stability’ of his regime, award him a medal of honor, and compare him with Abraham Lincoln. Nixon hailed Batista’s Cuba as a land that ‘shares with us the same democratic ideals of peace, freedom and the dignity of man.’
“When he returned to Washington, the vice president reported to the cabinet that Batista was ‘a very remarkable man … older and wiser … desirous of doing a good job for Cuba rather than Batista … concerned about social progress…’ And Nixon reported that Batista had vowed to ‘deal with the Commies.’
“What Nixon omitted from his report was … the rampant government corruption under Batista — and the extreme poverty of most Cubans. The American vice president also ignored Batista’s suspension of constitutional guarantees, his dissolution of the country’s political parties, and his use of the police and army to murder political opponents. Twenty thousand Cubans reportedly died at the hands of Batista’s thugs.” –Don Fulsom, The Mob’s President: Richard Nixon’s Secret Ties to the Mafia]
Dominican Republic – The CIA assassinates Rafael Trujillo, a murderous dictator Washington has supported since 1930. Trujillo’s business interests have grown so large (about 60 percent of the economy) that they have begun competing with American business interests.
Ecuador – The CIA-backed military forces the democratically elected President Jose Velasco to resign. Vice President Carlos Arosemana replaces him; the CIA fills the now vacant vice presidency with its own man.”
N.S.A. and cIA’s are cheeky-Stuff, parables of capitalist-Totalitarianism, which the Bourgeoisie enjoys as though theirs is not “the new-Rome” as well as important-tyRanny: rex! “CIA Meddling in Latin America — 1954 to 2002”

“Today, 11 October 2018, WikiLeaks publishes a “Highly Confidential” internal document from the cloud computing provider Amazon. The document from late 2015 lists the addresses and some operational details of over one hundred data centers spread across fifteen cities in nine countries. To accompany this document, WikiLeaks also created a map showing where Amazon’s data centers are located.
Amazon, which is the largest cloud provider, is notoriously secretive about the precise locations of its data centers. While a few are publicly tied to Amazon, this is the exception rather than the norm. More often, Amazon operates out of data centers owned by other companies with little indication that Amazon itself is based there too or runs its own data centers under less-identifiable subsidiaries such as VaData, Inc. In some cases, Amazon uses pseudonyms to obscure its presence. For example, at its IAD77 data center, the document states that “Amazon is known as ‘Vandalay Industries’ on badges and all correspondence with building manager”.
Amazon is the leading cloud provider for the United States intelligence community. In 2013, Amazon entered into a $600 million contract with the CIA to build a cloud for use by intelligence agencies working with information classified as Top Secret. Then, in 2017, Amazon announced the AWS Secret Region, which allows storage of data classified up to the Secret level by a broader range of agencies and companies. Amazon also operates a special GovCloud region for US Government agencies hosting unclassified information.
Currently, Amazon is one of the leading contenders for an up to $10 billion contract to build a private cloud for the Department of Defense. Amazon is one of the only companies with the certifications required to host classified data in the cloud. The Defense Department is looking for a single provider and other companies, including Oracle and IBM, have complained that the requirements unfairly favor Amazon. Bids on this contract are due tomorrow.
While one of the benefits of the cloud is the potential to increase reliability through geographic distribution of computing resources, cloud infrastructure is remarkably centralised in terms of legal control. Just a few companies and their subsidiaries run the majority of cloud computing infrastructure around the world. Of these, Amazon is the largest by far, with recent market research showing that Amazon accounts for 34% of the cloud infrastructure services market.
Until now, this cloud infrastructure controlled by Amazon was largely hidden, with only the general geographic regions of the data centers publicised. While Amazon’s cloud is comprised of physical locations, indications of the existence of these places are primarily buried in government records or made visible only when cloud infrastructure fails due to natural disasters or other problems in the physical world.
In the process of dispelling the mystery around the locations of Amazon’s data centers, WikiLeaks also turned this document into a puzzle game, the Quest of Random Clues. The goal of this game was to encourage people to research these data centers in a fun and intriguing way, while highlighting related issues such as contracts with the intelligence community, Amazon’s complex corporate structures, and the physicality of the cloud.
Kristinn Hrafnsson, WikiLeaks Editor-in-Chief: “This publication is in the WikiLeaks spirit of transparency. It is important for the public to know where their data is stored. It should not be clouded in mystery. This is of increased importance when the company in question is contenting for a billion dollar government contract”.”

“This article marked the public’s introduction to a concept that would drastically change the debate over nuclear war: “nuclear winter.” The story detailed the previously unexpected consequences of nuclear war: prolonged dust and smoke, a precipitous drop in Earth’s temperatures and widespread failure of crops, leading to deadly famine. “In a nuclear ‘exchange,’ more than a billion people would instantly be killed,” read the cover. “But the long-term consequences could be much worse…”
According to the article, it wouldn’t take both major nuclear powers firing all their weapons to create a nuclear winter. Even a smaller-scale war could destroy humanity as we know it. “We have placed our civilization and our species in jeopardy,” the author concluded. “Fortunately, it is not yet too late. We can safeguard the planetary civilization and the human family if we so choose. There is no more important or more urgent issue.”
The article was frightening enough. But it was the author who brought authority and seriousness to the doomsday scenario: Carl Sagan.”
Why was Prof Sagan being asked questions w.o. question-marks? He was allayed w disgust temperaments by us-Boomers. He wanted to be as pRacticed as behavioralism-tRaits that could or did pertain to “nuclear-Molecular” I asked for a whole year from the hills. He was an astronomer, someone yelled back to me once. Whereupon, I had my direction allayed too much w Physics. Dr. Sagan told me from the hallway en route from his Cal Tech Office, to the discussions area outside the Student Union. I asked what is the actual “Radionuclide of the meaning involved w ‘scatter-Method’? Always full-of-Life he answered “not un-known, obviated by disgust, aerosol…”! When Carl let’s loose his bRain, those righteous answers flow, and we move onward in the Cosmology of Life!
“Sagan and his former students James Pollack and Brian Toon realized this work applied to climate change on Earth—as well as nuclear war. Along with meteorologists Tom Ackerman and Rich Turco, they used computer models and data collected by satellites and space probes to conclude that it wouldn’t take a full-scale thermonuclear war to cause Earth’s temperature to plummet. They found average global temperatures could drop between 15º and 25º Celsius, enough to plunge the planet into what they called “nuclear winter”—a deadly period of darkness, famine, toxic gases and subzero cold.
The authors acknowledged the limitations of their model, including poor predictions for short-term effects on small geographical scales and the inability to predict changes in weather as opposed to climate. Nevertheless, their conclusion was chilling. If the United States managed to disable the Soviet arsenal and launch its own preemptive nuclear strike (or vice versa), they wrote, the whole world would suffer the consequences:
When combined with the prompt destruction from nuclear blast, fires, and fallout and the later enhancement of solar ultraviolet radiation due to ozone depletion, long-term exposure to cold, dark, and radioactivity could pose a serious threat to human survivors and to other species … The possibility of the extinction of Homo sapiens cannot be excluded.
The nuclear winter paper was accepted for publication in the journal Science,
where it was destined to reach millions of scientists and influence decades of future research. Known colloquially by the acronym “TTAPS” after its authors’ last names, the academic article would be published on December 23, 1983. But in October, Sagan made the decision to announce his warning to the world using what amounted to a very unorthodox medium: the popular media.
“When Carl Sagan Warned the World About Nuclear Winter” November 19, 2017 Matthew R. Francis SMITHSONIAN.COM https://portside.org/2017-11-19/when-carl-sagan-warned-world-about-nuclear-winter Before the official report came out, the popular scientist took to the presses to paint a dire picture of what nuclear war might look like.
Prof. Sagan was, of course, a renown Astronomer. While another scientist w whom I spoke regarding what would happen post: destructo-Force was Dr. Linus Pauling, who was also a Nobel Laureate in Biology as well as Physics. The nuclear-War getup was always that thermo-Nuclears were the culprit while, NSDU-238 (not-so-depleted ur-238) was hardly scarce after first usages in the tank-Battles of Sinai and Golan Heights, 1973. Then, when NSDU-238 was used against the retreating army in Iraq-lands: phase-One, the fanaticism of developing “directed-Energy” was also interplay. That is penataGooons was already paying-out for initial development, and eventually, looking for a manner-shape-forum to display the deadliest effects yet, of nucleaRism. “R”
“On the other side of the spectrum were scientists like physicist Edward Teller, whose anti-Communist zeal was particularly notable. He pushed for the U.S. to increase weapons research, and believed the U.S.S.R. was a more powerful adversary than American intelligence agencies were reporting. Teller often took existing threat analyses and extrapolated them into worst-case scenarios in the interests of spurring the government toward more aggressive action. He strongly opposed nuclear test bans and believed the Soviets were close to beginning a full-scale nuclear war.
Teller supported the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI), a system of anti-nuclear satellites colloquially known as “Star Wars.” Many analysts opposed SDI because it would potentially escalate the arms race; in 1986, 6,500 scientists pledged their opposition to SDI in part because they doubted it would work at all.
Nuclear winter pitted Sagan against Teller, culminating in both men giving testimony before the U.S. Congress. Teller took personal offense at the conclusions of TTAPS: if the nuclear winter hypothesis was right, SDI and other strategies Teller promoted were doomed from the start. It didn’t hurt that their tactics were similar: in public statements, Sagan focused on the most extreme predictions for nuclear winter, just as Teller cherry-picked data to exaggerate the Soviet threat.”
When rev-Paul Sawyer and I helped pull Carl from the Wheeler auditorium on UC Berkeley campus in 1971, because Edward Teller had literally gone on a rampage of rashness, and empathetical remonstrations by Teller rallied against Prof. Sagan were sooo insidiously callous, as to bring the undergraduate attendees ultra-closer to the gRaduates and the public, but in purveyances of chiding while building UDS-nucleaRism into the panoply of disgust that would twice more since then rail against peace-Prosperity discussion w rationalism as steadfast Ecosocialism could-would-does explore. I was both, as well as the gRad student who stayed the course onward, attending Dr. Sagan’s classes, at JPL Labs the previous year. I had also spoken in the gatherings that Carl would find time to fend answers and discretions. “R”

The personality of rev-Paul coupled w Universalism from me and his guidance to U-U’s in churches of San Fernando Valley, Pasadena and Berkeley CA makes me admonish how he is missed, because we never did get as close to subscription that “nucleaRism” was and remains the curse of “military-Hegemony: US-imperialism is the ethicality of rudeness found in the nucleaR-Molecular. I believed this much was apropos a needful discussion of whwre Universalism had led us into the compromise and yes, integrationing of Unitarians and Universalists. However, as rev-Paul stated when his cancer had digressed to me: “Addison, you’re a survivor…fore as long as I’ve known you, you are the one who contrasts that most being a survivor of the cause! I am yet finding that Carl Sagan’s moments w me as positive recantation, well as all three of us were of Universalist connote for each of us to halt the individualist ordeal and dwell upon the idiopathic-Propaganda ineptitude. The nucleaRism is that one feature which was the next internment that only I have lived to maintain “the culpability is exactitude”. “Journalist, author and war correspondent Chris Hedges spoke at The Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy NY on November 10, 2017 on fascism and empire in the age of Trump.
Chris Hedges is the best-selling author of War is a Force That Gives Us Meaning (2003), a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for Nonfiction. A quote from the book was used as the opening title quotation in the critically-acclaimed and Academy Award-winning 2009 film, The Hurt Locker. The quote reads: “The rush of battle is often a potent and lethal addiction, for war is a drug.”
Hedges, whose column is published Mondays on Truthdig, has written twelve books, including the New York Times bestseller Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt (2012), which he co-authored with the cartoonist Joe Sacco. Some of his other books include Unspeakable (2016), Wages of Rebellion: The Moral Imperative to Revolt (2015), Death of the Liberal Class (2010), Empire of Illusion: The End of Literacy and the Triumph of Spectacle (2009), I Don’t Believe in Atheists (2008) and the best selling American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America (2008). In 2011, Nation Books published a collection of Hedges’ Truthdig columns called The World As It Is: Dispatches on the Myth of Human Progress.
Hedges previously spent nearly two decades as a foreign correspondent in
Central America, the Middle East, Africa and the Balkans. He has reported from more than 50 countries and has worked for The Christian Science Monitor, National Public Radio, The Dallas Morning News and The New York Times, for which he was a foreign correspondent for 15 years.
Hedges was part of the team of reporters at The New York Times awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 2002 for the paper’s coverage of global terrorism. He also received the Amnesty International Global Award for Human Rights Journalism in 2002. The Los Angeles Press Club honored Hedges’ original columns in Truthdig by naming the author the Online Journalist of the Year in 2009 and again in 2011. The LAPC also granted him the Best Online Column award in 2010 for his Truthdig essay “One Day We’ll All Be Terrorists.”
Hedges is a senior fellow at The Nation Institute in New York City. He has taught at Columbia University, New York University, Princeton University and The University of Toronto. He currently teaches prisoners at a maximum-security prison in New Jersey.”
Chris Hedges is as much antagonized by the 1%-elites as I am antagonized by us-People not propensitizing toward weekly protests akin ”the chartReuse-Vests” of Ecosocialism needs of and in French Republic, since 19 weeks ago. Listen to what he has aimed at, which both rev-Paul—discussing Seminary concerns—and myself discussing and hour later “nucleaRism as NSDU-238” the first formulated ur-Weapon of masse` annihilation. That was in 1988, in Philadelphia, near Princeton University, where I had met and talked w bRooke Shield, actor, a second time. Universality of knowledge is yet a formulation in my poetics written w rev-Paul’s ”blessing” because my olde-Man and my olde-Uncle would not even utter the word uranium-Weapons.
Here he is at his best, in one of his finest talks, as he and I agree Prof. Noam Chomsky would never sidle into “anti-nucleaRism” yet maintain impeccability for public clarity and public discerning, too! Universalism, as I’ve said permeates for correlatives on peace and “what is nucleArism”? We both concur that huge-Deficits apprises a surrogate to banking and to Hegemonyites. “Peter, from what to what is human society developing in our era?
Well, it is developing from a capitalist society, which is wracked by a profound crisis throughout the world.
Firstly, it is a global economic crisis, which began in 2007, and continues right up till today, despite the fact that the bourgeois economists and theoreticians talk about a recovery. It’s a very one-sided recovery, a joyless and a jobless recovery. It hasn’t solved the problems. There has been absolute growth, which has overcome the level in many countries of 2007–2008, but not at all a structural recovery.
We have also a major political upheaval, a political crisis of the ruling class and their parties, who are split. It’s manifested clearly in the EU at the present time.
And working people are compelled – in order to defend the living standards they have had in the past – to come out in opposition to this system. The attack on living standards comes hand in hand with severe social and environmental crises, and these increase the alienation of workers and youth from this system as well.
This growing opposition is an expression, in our opinion, of a search for an alternative to this broken system, which in our view is a socialist alternative. This is based on the existing potential to free society from the dictatorship of ’the markets’ and to re-organize society democratically for the benefit of all. So in our era, socialist change will be on the agenda.
It seems that the process of the automation of labour is entering a turbo-phase in our time, implying a future where human labour will be almost unnecessary. You have reviewed Jeremy Rifkin’s book, ’Zero Marginal Cost Society’, which deals with this trend, among other technological developments. To what extent do you think this process could develop and threaten jobs?
Capitalism is the system par-excellence which has revolutionized the means of production. We’ve had the industrial revolution, which began in the 18th century – with the first industrial revolution, which was in the main the development of factory production. Later there was the second industrial revolution, which was mainly the development of motor-cars, electricity and so on, and which continued till the early parts of the 20th century. Since the late 20th century we have entered what Rifkin and others call the third industrial revolution (or the ‘Digital Revolution’), which has seen the shift to digital computer technology, cellular phones, the internet, 3D-printing techniques, developed robotics, etc.
Now we are entering a phase where the pace of development is such that there are already some examples of fully automated factories, so-called ’lights-out’ manufacturing, where machines produce around the clock with no human intervention, and with the lights off. This will expand in America, in China and elsewhere.
It is not just industrial jobs that are to be challenged by new technology. It is things like the medical professions, with robotics serving to assist doctors and nurses; in teaching professions, with the development of online teaching and so-on. It’s in all spheres of life that this will take place.
How likely is it that new jobs will be able to compensate for all the jobs slashed by automation? Will the Greek and Spanish current levels of 25% unemployment become the new so-called norm for the richest capitalist countries? Should we expect a structural long-term mass unemployment, with a large part of the working class becoming a massive underclass?
In China, which is currently the industrial hub of the world, already within the foreseeable future industrial jobs will be slaughtered by the mass introduction of robots. For instance, Foxconn (the manufacturer giant which produces the iPhone and employs over a million workers in China) has announced four years ago a plan to buy a million robots within three years to replace their human workers. So far, they’ve failed to do that (and even hired more workers last year), but they are adding 30,000 robots to their factories every year, and have effectually in the city of Chengdu, a completely automated factory. So in such a factory, the working class has already been done away with.
In the previous industrial revolutions, new industries managed to absorb the agricultural population or the workers of previous industries. It is different now. This development is affecting not just the working class, but also the so-called middle-class occupations, which for example in America have been slaughtered by this process. You can have in San-Francisco, for example, one of the highest incomes per-head in the country, and then you can have a kind of impoverished substratum, including sections coming from the middle class. You can have, in places like the city of Baltimore, unemployment of over 50% in some neighbourhoods! This, is in a so-called recovery.
The capitalists have always been concerned about the question of technology –whether it would result in mass unemployment. Even Keynes in the 1930’s tried to deal with this issue. He warned against ’technological unemployment’, but posed the possibility that by now, in the 21st century, capitalism would be able to absorb technology and cut the working week to 15 hours. Now we have new technology and the lengthening of the working week! The system does not manage to harness the new technology.
We already have a massive underclass in Greece or in Spain at the present time, because of the effects of the present economic crisis, and the development of technique in industry could exacerbate structural long-term mass unemployment under capitalism.
However, a most interesting thing about the present situation is that, in this era, there are more voices from within the system who warn of system failure and the possible repercussions of these developments. Some of them hold an apocalyptic view of what this would represent, even in the near future.”
In a public that has yet to display “constants of disgust” I maintain as an underground-Journalist—where and when I was in those fBIS investigations, my inveteracy is like eyeballs on sublimations as those un-furled against the american-Socialist: movement. We are not democratic-Socialists, but when we become nationalistic, we can fend-off “anarchism and anarchyism” thru Existentialism of methane-release and scientific-Advancement w humanoids in demand and in command of our collective and Universalist amalgams. “The effect of this separation on impressionable children is stronger than society generally realises, and there is no good reason for it. Reading, writing and arithmetic are exactly the same no matter what school you attend. The same goes for history, geography, geometry, algebra, poetry, music and any other subject you care to mention. So why have separate schools? The answer, once again is easy to come to if one looks at the class interests involved, and the need to apply the concept of ‘Divide and Rule’.
Questions to an Orangeman
If Orangemen examine the historical facts, and then face the undeniable truth, they will inevitably come to the conclusion that they have been duped, first by the aristocracy, and then by the capitalist establishment. They have been used as tools by the aforementioned to keep the working-class Catholics and Protestants divided and suppressed. That truth is a bitter pill to swallow, but the sooner it is swallowed the better.
Let every member of the Orange Order study the ideals he or she purports to stand for. Then compare those ideals with the historical truth:
1) The Protestant ethic is one of tolerance for other people’s faiths and ideals. It is this tolerance and liberty that the Orange Order claims it promotes and defends. If this is one of the principles of Orangeism then why did the Orange Order oppose Catholic emancipation? How can you claim to be tolerant when you tried to deny Catholics the right to vote? And what about that great champion of your cause, the so-called ‘reverend’ Ian Paisley? The man is a throw-back to the Middle Ages and is looked upon throughout the English-speaking world as the very personification of intolerance and bigotry. In view of this, how can the Orange order claim to be the defenders of tolerance and liberty?
2) Your founders adopted the name ‘Orange’ because they claimed that William III was the Monarch most associated with freedom and democracy. Yet, after the Scottish Presbyterians who had settled in Ulster spilled their blood for him he denied them the right to practise their religion, just as he did the Catholics. He made them pay tithes to the Anglican Church, just as he did the Catholics. By his vile treachery he caused 200,000 disillusioned and despairing Presbyterians to leave Ulster and emigrate to America. Your great ‘Protestant hero’ was a self-interested back-stabber who used you and then betrayed you. And furthermore, your glorious Protestant victory at the Boyne was in fact a papal victory, partly paid for and first celebrated by the Catholic Church. All of this is true, and not exaggerated in the slightest degree.
Yet it is not too late to correct matters. If you are looking for a real Protestant hero then look at the example of Wolfe Tone, a man who dedicated his life to the fight for justice for both Catholics and Protestants. Now there is a man, and a cause, worth marching for.
And take a good look at the ordinary working-class Irish Catholics in both the South and the North of Ireland. For eight hundred years they were persecuted: persecuted by Anglo-Norman invaders who did so with the full blessing of the Pope, persecuted by the Tudors; persecuted by Cromwell, persecuted by the rich landlords who stole their land then made virtual slaves of them; and even persecuted by the ungrateful and haughty hierarchy of their own Church. Isn’t it time they had a break? After all, in the Republic of Ireland the Protestant minority 1suffer no persecution or prejudicial mistreatment. It is true that the percentage of Protestants in the South has reduced from 10% to 3%. But that was because so many Protestants decided to leave the new Republic; it was their own choice, they were not driven out.
Both the Orange Order and the Catholic Hierarchy have conspired to split the working class with their religious bigotry and paranoia about socialism. Isn’t it about time for the working class, whether Protestants or Catholics, to unite and fight together in an endeavour to create a better life for each other? It can be done. They can be united in a common cause. Wolf Tone did it. James Connolly did it. James Larkin did it. And there is no reason why it cannot be done again. All that is needed to cut across the sectarian divide is a determined and class conscious lead.”

He sidestepped each time and that may have been my waylaying space-Time for discussions of and on “nucleaRism” before these bloGs from 2017—way late should have been 2003-2005, if not more immoralism is not reliance upon american-Socialism. I thought rev-Paul had sidestepped “Universalist-tRadtionalism” as Carl Sagan had sidestepped “electromagnetism-Dynamics” as the more powerful force in our astronomy and the universe for which he had gReat introspectionings.
