NSDU-238 or do You yet tire of Plutocracy?

tO peace-People:

“Elaborate efforts are being made by corporate-controlled mainstream media to downplay (if not ignore outright) the mass demonstrations taking place worldwide in the spirit of the Occupy Wall Street movement which began in New York City last month. Mirror protests are springing up globally with momentum and support increasing day by day.

Some of the big-brand media dismiss the protestors as ill- informed youth bored with their workaday lives. Still others point fingers at the attempts being made to infiltrate the movement by the same influential individuals and institutions that have financed and controlled earlier mass movements and so- called color revolutions, intent on aligning them with Western military and corporate interests.

Whatever one may believe at this point, there can be no denying that unprecedented numbers of people, of all ages and creeds, are increasingly frustrated by the governmental controls and machinations which keep them struggling to make ends meet while effectively jeopardizing their long-term potential to secure an adequate and fair standard of living.

Those who research further have come to see how the markets are manipulated by powerful figures to serve the interests of the few, the elite, the same individuals who control and determine economic trends and invariably direct them in their favour… at the expense of the broader public…” (more)

AND

In 1988 (or was that in 1989), I was in New York City & parked Van-2 in Lancaster PA to head south and meet w protestors accompanying Dr. Spock to Cape Canaveral, as the fuel “pollutants” from each launch– while furthering a semi-Unique space or interstellar-Program– was more than an Ecologic- disaster, that needed immediate changing of fuels and rocket- Designs of a more “sustainable” Future less ominous? I got as far as heading to GA, Ft Benning, to be exact and met Father Bourgeois, who said i’d be accepted w glea, being that my en Voce` does travel w me, and people know! I met once again w Howard Zinn, as we discussed what had truly happened w the Moskito tribes and death-Squads, who were UNfortunately trained at SOA, rite next Ft. Benning GA. Howard & Fa Bourgeois gave some words and pronouncements–and i discussed NSDU-238 in the sidelines, as per usual…         “R”

“SOA Watch is an independent organization that seeks to close the US Army School of the Americas, under whatever name it is called, through vigils and fasts, demonstrations and nonviolent protest, as well as media and legislative work. On November 16, 1989, six Jesuit priests, their co-worker and her teenage daughter were massacred in El Salvador. A U.S. Congressional Task Force reported that those responsible were trained at the U.S. Army School of the Americas (SOA) at Ft. Benning, Georgia. In 1990 SOA Watch began in a tiny apartment outside the main gate of Ft. Benning. While starting with a small group, SOA Watch quickly drew upon the knowledge and experience of many in the U.S. who had worked with the people of Latin America in the 1970’s and 80’s.

Today, the SOA Watch movement is a large, diverse, grassroots movement rooted in solidarity with the people of Latin America. The goal of SOA Watch is to close the SOA and to change U.S. foreign policy in Latin America by educating the public, lobbying Congress and participating in creative, nonviolent resistance. The Pentagon has responded to the growing movement and Congress’ near closure of the SOA with a PR campaign to give the SOA a new image. In an attempt to disassociate the school with its horrific past, the SOA was renamed the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation in January of 2001.”
